Good Food Hero was born because we believe that all kids deserve good food. We say that ‘cheap and nasty’ isn’t OK. We refuse to short-change our kids with pretend food pumped out by greedy multi-nationals. It just isn’t right. We believe that growing bodies and minds deserve nothing less than the best fuel. That we need to nourish their curiosity, fuel their ambitions and fill them up with real, good food.
We believe that good food contains a generous measure of common sense and is topped with a dollop of care. That it is based on favourite recipes from our family cookbooks and is packed with real ingredients from Grandma’s pantry.
We believe that at its best it can empower. We can’t promise you superpowers to leap tall buildings in a single bound. But we do promise that every meal is packed with wholesome goodness to fuel whatever superhuman challenges your day may bring and that it will always be food you can feel good about.
We salute the superstars in the canteen – we know you too only want the best for our kids. We have confidence in our kids to make good choices if we give them awesome options.
We know together – parents, kids and canteens – that we can make things better by bringing good food back to the table, the lunchbox, but most of all back to basics.
Because good food for kids just makes sense.
